The Executive Director and Program Director of the Gender Advocacy and Women Resource Centre (GAWRC) paid a courtesy visit to the Head Office of the Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA) in Abuja.
The visit provided an opportunity for both organizations to explore avenues for partnership and collaboration, with discussions centered on strengthening efforts in:
Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention
Legal literacy and access to justice
Community mobilization and empowerment
Policy advocacy for women’s rights
Speaking during the visit, both parties emphasized the need for collective action and strategic alliances in advancing gender equality and protecting the rights of women and girls across Nigeria.
This engagement marks a step forward in fostering stronger networks among women-focused organizations working to end GBV and promote inclusive development.
