The Gender Advocacy and Women Resource Centre (GAWRC) continued its 16 Days of Activism outreach in Oyobu Community, Bayelsa State, with a purposeful town hall meeting and an energizing awareness rally.

Residents came out in impressive numbers as men, women, and young people engaged in open dialogue on the realities of gender-based and digital violence. The town hall discussion underscored the urgent need for prevention, accountability, and stronger community-led action.

Following the discussions, the awareness rally carried this message through the community, reinforcing a united commitment to protecting women, girls, and vulnerable persons.
This campaign serves as a powerful reminder that change is possible—and that every community has a crucial role to play in ending violence against women and girls.
