Sabagreia, Bayelsa State – May 2025
The Gender Advocacy and Women Resource Centre (GAWRC) has officially extended its Project Zero Tolerance for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) to Sabagreia community in Bayelsa State through a community entry exercise.

The visit, which marked the preparatory phase of the project, introduced the initiative to community leaders and members while fostering dialogue on GBV prevention, legal literacy, and the shared responsibility of building safer communities.
Community leaders warmly welcomed GAWRC, demonstrating strong commitment and readiness to collaborate in advancing gender justice and protecting human rights.
By engaging Sabagreia stakeholders at the grassroots, GAWRC has laid the foundation for local ownership of the project and strengthened its mission to eliminate GBV across Bayelsa State.
