Today, the world marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a reminder that violence, whether physical, sexual, emotional, or digital, remains one of the most widespread human rights violations.

According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 3 women has experienced physical or sexual violence in her lifetime.
In the digital space, the numbers are just as alarming, with studies showing that 16%–58% of women globally face online harassment, cyberstalking, grooming, extortion, and other forms of digital abuse.
This year’s theme, “Unite to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls,” calls on everyone, governments, institutions, communities, and individuals to recognize that online spaces must be safe for women too.
Let us unite to protect, uplift, and empower every woman and girl.
