GAWRC Hosts Validation Meeting in Bayelsa, Calls for Stronger Collaboration on GBV Prevention

The Gender Advocacy and Women Resource Centre (GAWRC) convened a validation meeting in Bayelsa State to review findings and refine strategies for the implementation of Project Zero Tolerance for Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

The session provided an inclusive platform for stakeholders including community representatives, government officers, partner organizations, and advocacy groups to share feedback, validate key findings, and strengthen collective ownership of the project.

In her remarks, the Executive Director of GAWRC, Mrs. Oti Ovrawah, emphasized the need for strong collaboration among community members, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to ensure that the identified findings and challenges are effectively addressed. She noted that sustained partnership and joint action remain essential to achieving meaningful progress in the fight against GBV.

Participants also reiterated their commitment to ensuring that community voices continue to shape the implementation of Project Zero Tolerance for GBV, promoting inclusivity, accountability, and long-term impact.
